Speech & Language Therapy

Our Speech & Language Therapists support patients having trouble with communication, voice, or eating and swallowing.

Services Provided:

  • The Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) department provides assessment, diagnosis, support, and treatment for patients with speech, language, communication, voice, and swallowing difficulties.
  • The department delivers therapy through one-to-one sessions, group therapy, and indirect training sessions, depending on each patient’s rehabilitation needs.
  • SLTs support patients experiencing acquired communication disorders, including eating, drinking, and swallowing problems (dysphagia).
  • The SLT team works closely with acute hospitals and specialist services to arrange advanced assessments and specialist supports, such as videofluoroscopy, endoscopy, and augmentative communication services as/if needed.
