Person-Centred Approach

Our Person-Centred Approach helps us work together in the interest of patients and visitors, and focuses on the following Core Principles:

  • Welcoming – Encouraging the involvement of those who matter to the patient
  • Patient Led – Respecting patients’ preferences regarding the people who matter to them visiting
  • Partnership – Working together with patients and their visitors
  • Flexibility – Providing flexible visiting times
  • Respect – Ensuring safety, privacy and dignity for all patients

Infection Prevention Measures:

Visitors can help reduce the risk of infection by:
  • Practicing hand hygiene – washing hands/using alcohol-based hand rub on entry and exit
  • Not visiting if experiencing diarrhoea, vomiting, or flu-like symptoms (must be symptom-free for 48 hours)
  • Complying with isolation protocols as required
  • Not sitting on patients’ beds
  • Disposing of rubbish properly
  • Flowers and plants are not permitted for infection control reasons

Thank you for your cooperation
